Synopsis
Six-year-old Margaux wakes up early and sees her father packing boxes into his car. Her mother is still sleeping. As ‘In August’ progresses, we come to realise that seemingly casual events – watching Daddy shave, an argument at bathtime, a drive through the mountains – will soon take on great significance for the little girl, for from today everything in her young life will be different.
About the Directors
Jenna Hasse was born in Lisbon in 1989. She studied French and Cinema at the University of Lausanne, and attended the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle in 2010. She is currently working on her next short film, as well as several cinema and theatre projects as an actress.
