About the Directors

To disseminate elements of his directing, writing and producing, Mehra established Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures (ROMP), which aims to foster a new wave of Indian cinema. He wrote, produced and directed the film “Rang De Basanti” (Colour of Sacrifice) in 2006, which has won four National Awards and was India’s official entry to the Oscars® during 2006–2007.
