Volunteer for Ajyal 2024

Founded on the principles of inspiration and empowerment, the Ajyal Film Festival brings people together through the unifying power of cinema. For over a decade, Ajyal has bridged cultures and generations, presenting a compelling slate of international films alongside exciting experiences like Geekdom, Ajyal Tunes, and multimedia exhibitions. As we approach the twelfth edition from 16–23 November 2024, we’re calling on the dedicated volunteers who help make it all happen!

This international event would not be possible without the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers. There are numerous ways to get involved—whether it’s supporting our events team behind the scenes, assisting with cinema operations, or working directly with young jurors from around the world. Be part of this exciting cultural event, gain valuable experience, and form lasting connections.

Who can apply to volunteer?
We welcome individuals with all skill sets and levels of experience, whether you’re a student, mid-career professional, or retiree. If you’re passionate about contributing to the festival, we’d love to have you on board. Volunteers are required to commit to at least six shifts during the eight-day festival, with each shift lasting between 4 to 6 hours. You can choose to volunteer before, during, or throughout the festival, based on your availability.
The Volunteer Programme is open to all Qatar residents aged 18 and above. Please note that you may only take on one role during the festival. If you’ve already applied for the Ajyal Jury Programme, we kindly ask that you refrain from applying to volunteer as well.
Shortly after receiving your application, the Ajyal Volunteer Team will invite you to one of our Volunteer Meet and Greets.
After you’ve been assigned a role, you’ll receive a personal notification with details about your department and scheduled Volunteer Orientation.
