"Little Fockers": Development and Evolution of the "Meet the Parents" Franchise

Event Description

Meet the next generation of "Little Fockers." Leading film producer Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro talk about the evolution of one of the highest-grossing comedy franchises of all time. Be the first to sneak a glimpse at some hilarious moments from the December-release "Little Fockers," interspersed with behind-the-scenes insights from the likes of Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Barbra Streisand and more! This event is open to the public and Arabic interpretation headsets will be available. Tickets can be purchased at any box office location.

    Chief Creative Officer, Tribeca Enterprises

    Gilmore, who joined Tribeca Enterprises in 2009 as Chief Creative Officer, is responsible for Tribeca's global content strategy and leads creative development initiatives and expansion of the brand. He came to Tribeca from the Sundance Institute, where he worked on numerous international projects and symposia. He served as the Director of the Sundance Film Festival, responsible for film selection and the overall direction of programming from 1990 through 2009. In addition, Gilmore was a consultant for the Sundance Channel and the Sundance Cinemas, and directed the Sundance Institute’s Annual Independent Producers Conference for 18 years. Prior to his work at Sundance, he served as head of the UCLA Film & Television Archive's programming for more than a decade. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his post-graduate work at UCLA.

    De Niro is a two-time Oscar-winning actor, as well as a film producer and director. In addition to his prolific film career, he is co-founder of the production company Tribeca Productions, the global media company Tribeca Enterprises, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Tribeca Film Institute. He also works as a restaurateur and hotelier.

  • Jane Rosenthal

    Co-Founder, Tribeca Enterprises

    In 1988, Rosenthal co-founded Tribeca Productions with Robert De Niro. In 2002, De Niro, Rosenthal and her husband Craig Hatkoff created the Tribeca Film Festival to foster the revitalization of downtown New York City, and the Tribeca Film Institute to provide financial and networking resources to filmmakers and youth. In 2005, they formed Tribeca Enterprises, a global media company whose businesses include the Festival, the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, Tribeca Cinemas, the distribution initiative Tribeca Film, and the Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy.
