Black Gold: Behind-the-Scenes of an Epic Journey
Event Description
A discussion around “Black Gold”and the behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the film shot in Tunisia and Qatar during the Arab Spring. The director, the producer and the cast will explore the practical and creative aspects of shooting the film and share their stories and the challenges they experienced during this truly international production. The creative team will discuss the process of capturing the spectacular Qatari desert landscapes on film for the very first time. Hear how Oscar ® winning composer James Horner (“Titanic”, “Avatar”) collaborated with some of the region’s greatest talents, including Qatari singer, Fahad Al Kubaisi, to create a world class film score.
