Ajyal Youth Film Festival Box Office Opens November 13

Doha, Qatar; November 11, 2013: Movie fans and festival-goers in Qatar can purchase tickets for the inaugural Ajyal Youth Film Festival at the various Box Office counters at the Ajyal Festival Booth in the City Centre Mall and in The Cultural Village Katara starting November 13.

A highlight for this year is the launch of the ‘Ajyal Film Circle Card,’ entitling all cardholders to a QR 5 discount on all Ajyal single tickets, spanning public screenings and events. Each cardholder will be eligible to six discounted tickets per screening/event, per individual transaction.

Tickets are priced at QR 25 for regular screenings and events. Ajyal Film Circle Cardholders and qualifying organisations can purchase tickets for QR 20. Opening Night is available for QR 40, while Film Circle cardholders can purchase it for QR 35. Tickets can be purchased as well through www.dohafilminstitute.com/filmfestival or on the Doha Film Institute’s smartphone app.

The Ajyal Festival Booth, located within the main activity area on the ground floor of City Centre, will be open from 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM on 13th November, and beginning 14th November, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday to Wednesday.

The Katara Drama Theatre Ticket Outlet at The Cultural Village Katara will operate daily from November 13 to November 24, from 1pm to 8pm.

During the Festival, tickets can be purchased at the Ajyal Katara Main Box Office located in Katara Building 12. Screenings at the Sony Open-Air Cinema are free of charge.

Ticketholders can also make the most of their Festival experience with a complimentary shuttle service within The Cultural Village Katara, to each of the venues throughout the Festival.

The Ajyal Youth Film Festival builds on the Doha Film Institute’s history of community-based programming. Ajyal invites generations to come together to discuss cinema through events that inspire creative interaction, opening up a fun, collaborative environment where young people can express themselves.
