Synopsis
In his inspiring masterclass, Richard Peña, Professor of Film Studies at Columbia University and Director of the New York Film Festival from 1988 to 2012, will offer a visually stunning survey of Cinematography in cinema. He will explain the evolution of style and craft through cinematic history, referencing iconic directors of photography, their tools and the impact of their work. With the exception of the ‘Life of Pi’ screenings, Richard Pena will also be giving a short, but fascinating introduction to each of our other films in the ’Magicians of the Light’ series.
