Synopsis

Smiles, like yawns, are contagious – only nicer, and funnier too. Shot as part of the short series ‘Notebook Babies’, which teaches basic notions to pre-schoolers, ‘Smile’ is a cute reminder that a very small thing, such as smiling, can go a long way.

About the Directors

Tony Dusko was born in Pennsylvania. After five years as a biologist, Dusko decided to teach elementary school, where he discovered how his artistic background could help motivate his fifth graders to behave. One day he created a simple animation of a grilled cheese sandwich telling his students to get ready for lunch. The kids loved it, quickly got ready for lunch, and begged him to make more animations. Several of his films have now appeared on ‘Sesame Street’.
